Facebook statuses

Allow me to first congratulate the President-Elect of the United States of America, Barack Obama. I am proud to have voted for him, and look forward to the next four years.

More importantly, reading through many friends' statuses on Facebook, I'm a little angry. Those of you who have posted reasoned-out, this-is-what-I-don't-like statuses, thank you. I appreciate that of you. Those of you who can do nothing more than predict doomsday and insult the man who will soon be the President of our country, get some ideals. Calling Obama a "retard" or saying "America is fucked" won't get anything done, and in fact, it'll just make you look like a really wonderful sore loser. You may not like the results of this election, you may even have voted for John McCain. But the least you could do is have respect in defeat, as Senator McCain himself did. If you watched McCain's speech tonight, he was noble. He attempted to shush the boos in the crowd. Why would you boo the man you've cheered for months now? I don't understand that, but since I doubt anyone who reads this was in Arizona at that rally, I won't rant about that. Anyway, Senator McCain accepted defeat. So why don't you?

It is time for the future. Let it be.

In addendum. Barack Obama is not a terrorist. Just to clarify.
